F100 Patches, Patches, Patches

From: Ivy Hedge (poisonivy@haveashittyday.com) | Date: 2003-10-29 14:06:58 UTC
Hey boxers....I want your opinion.

I was interested in buying some F100 patches,
and looked at the LBNA site.

Why are they so expensive?

They can be custom made for less than a dollar each.

Is that the OFFICIAL and only place to get them,

or can I order a bunch for less at a custom embroidery place?

HI Pioson Ivy,

I have found the best price I could. I have not found the logo patches for
less than a dollar each unless you buy 500. I was able to bring the price down
by buying 200 last time but I haven't sold enough to recover my cost yet. I
am selling them at cost . No profit to me. AS a matter of fact I am out
money for pastage and envelopes etc. If you know of a place with a lower cost,
I'd love to hear from you.

The merit badges could cost less if there was a market for 500 of each
denomination ... but there isn't. I have found a convienient and the cheapest
embroider I could so far. Let me know if you have another source.

These are not official. You can always order and design your own.

I'd love to hear from you.

:o)

Gosh, I don't think they are out of line at all for custom patches made in
small quantity. We pay $3 apiece for my duaghter's AHG scout badges.

Reminds me, gotta order some of my own patches--great stocking stuffers for
hte kids, I am thinking!

I ordered a bunch of custom F100 patches from AmericanPatch.com
yesterday - based on the design on the LBNA Regalia page.

I plan to put many in the F100 Box that Dog Scouts is planning when
it comes my way. The rest I'll save for events and such and can
trade them for 75 cents each.

Apologies to folks who are not near D.C. I don't plan to be a mail
order distributor.

BUT - if the design works out well and folks are happy with it, I'm
sure the patch place will have it on file for reorder. Minimum order
there is 50 which works out to about 1.70 each.

Poison Ivy.

WOw, I wish you would have contacted me first. I've got about 100 patches
sitting here that I haven't recovered the cost for yet.

I'm eating the cost of the ones I'm adding to the F100 box.

100 patches at $3 ($300) each seemed like not enough bang for too
much buck. And I wouldn't dream of offering you less than what you
paid for them - and the hassle of handling and distribution.

200 patches for $150 seemed the better route for me.

I hope they turn out.
